Brutal Attack Inside Spa
A horrifying incident unfolded early Wednesday at a spa near Worli Naka, where 52-year-old Guru Waghmare was brutally murdered. According to police reports, two unidentified men entered the spa and slit Waghmare's throat, leading to his untimely death.
Night Out Turns Tragic
The incident occurred shortly after Waghmare, a resident of Vile Parle, returned to the spa with several employees following a party in Sion. Waghmare, who had celebrated his birthday on July 17, was persuaded by the spa staff to host a party, which led them to Sion and back to the spa around 12:30 a.m.
Fatal Encounter at the Spa
Upon their return, Waghmare stayed inside the spa with a 21-year-old female employee while three other staff members stepped out. It was during this time that the two attackers entered the spa and assaulted Waghmare with sharp weapons. The attackers fled the scene, leaving Waghmare severely injured.
Investigation and Response
Waghmare was immediately rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries. The Worli police have registered a murder case and are diligently working to identify the attackers. They are currently analyzing CCTV footage from the vicinity of the crime scene, and a crime branch team is conducting a parallel investigation.

Victim's Background
Gurusiddappa Waghmare, also known as Chulbul Pandey, who had a criminal history with at least five cases registered at Vile Parle police station, was the victim of a gruesome murder in Worli. The 50-year-old was attacked inside the Soft Touch Spa near Worli Naka.
Events Leading Up to the Murder
Prior to the attack, Waghmare and his girlfriend had been drinking at Aparna Bar and Restaurant near Sion railway station. They then proceeded to the spa, which had been closed for six months but was specially opened by the owner, a friend of Waghmare's girlfriend.
Deadly Ambush
While the couple was inside the spa, three armed men broke in and attacked Waghmare, who was resting on a sofa. The assailants used knives and choppers, leaving Waghmare dead on the spot. The woman, a key witness, was unharmed but was detained by the police along with another man.
Police Investigation
The murder came to light when the Worli police received an anonymous call reporting the incident. Senior PI Ravindra Katkar has deployed six teams to investigate and apprehend the culprits. The police are also scrutinizing CCTV footage from the area to gather more evidence.
